Career Fair is now being held on March 4, 2021

Registration is Open!  Career Fair and Workshop will be held virtually this year

Trivia Night is March 3, 2021 and Aggie Workshop is April 9, 2021

Vendor Information

To register for both Career Fair and Aggie Workshop, please follow the necessary links provided to the right. We also encourage all vendors to fill out the “Firm / Student Matching Form”. In order to guide students towards firms and organizations based on employer interests and expectations, we have created this matching system which will allow vendors to set broad filtering criteria for interviews. Although this matching system is only a suggestion, it will help to better streamline the interview process by allowing firms and organizations to find students that fit their specific, professional needs.

Student Information

Portfolios will be reviewed by both a board of professors as well as professionals within their respected fields. Dates Pending. These are highly recommended, if participating in Career Fair. This is to ensure that both you as a student as well as the Department of Landscape Architecture & Urban Planning are represented to their greatest potential.

Aggie Workshop is free for students and faculty. Registration will include Zoom links for the Trivia Night on Wednesday, Lectures, Napkin Session, and Closing Reception. To register, please follow the necessary links provided to the right.

Event Information

Thank you for your interest in attending the Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning’s Annual Career Fair and Aggie Workshop. This year the career fair will be held on March 4th and the Aggie Workshop will follow on April 9, 2021.  Workshop will hold a Trivia night before the CareerFair on March 4, 2021.  You may choose to sign up for both events or just one, however, attending both events will result in the most well-rounded and complete exposure to both potential employees and employers. A brief description of each day can be found below. We look forward to seeing you!

Career Fair is not only a rewarding experience for students, but also employers. By attending the Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning’s Annual Career Fair employers will gain easy access to fresh talent, increase brand awareness within the field and have the opportunity to network with other professionals.  Formal interviews will occur before and after lunch. Career Fair will be invaluable to both students and employers for future growth within the industry.

Our 2021 Aggie Workshop will respond to the culmination of societal changes at the forefront of our industry: climate crisis, pandemic-related planning, and designing for equity while promoting it throughout our own profession. We are reaching an ecological threshold, a point in our ecosystem where all of the disturbances we’re experiencing will, and are, rapidly changing our environment. Once the threshold is crossed, there is no return to our previous inherent resilience.

To guide our discussion, the panel of speakers will provide unique perspectives and distinct specialties central to our theme of “Anthropocene: a societal threshold’. Our panel will build up momentum for our Keynote Lecturer: Diana Fernandez, ASLA, PLA, an ASLA Emerging Professional Medalist and part of the 2019-2020 LAF Fellowship for Innovation and Leadership.

Aggie Workshop will take place through invitational Zoom links. Look out for our trivia night on Wednesday to open the event. We look forward to seeing you all virtually this February!

Cost for Students and Faculty will be free

Registration Cost for Firms/Vendors will be $125.00
