Schob Scholars Program

The creation of the Schob Scholars Program using the funds generated from the Schob Endowment was approved by deans in Architecture, and Agriculture and Life Sciences in October 2013. The funds are expended among two major activities as follows:

  1. Senior Schob Scholars in LAUP and RPTS. Senior Schob Scholars are responsible for pursuing education, research and outreach activities and initiatives in support of the preserve.
  2. Schob Scholars Mini-grant Program. This program supports collaborative work with colleagues at TAMU, Texas A&M Agrilife Research and Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service.

In addition, a smaller portion of the LAUP fund is used to create the LAUP Mini-grant Program. The program encourages LAUP & College of Architecture faculty to participate in the education, research and outreach activities in the preserve.
